I didn't see it, but my son loved it for his 18th Birthday!

I would love it if you had a New Orleans themed man crate; there's a couple of my kids that would love it.

Really great idea and the bacon goodies were pretty tasty, although the maple bacon jerky was too sweet for his taste. My only complaint is that it took one pry with the little crowbar and the whole side panel popped off. I was really hoping it would be at least a little harder to open like advertised and many of the reviews stated. It took longer to cut open the duct taped box. I wouldn’t purchase a crate again.

My wife surprised me with this for Valentine's Day. Here were my impressions. Cool box and fun to open. However once its open it's not super usable again. They use glue (strong stuff) to close the lid and prying it open messes it up a well built little box. Had they only used nails I could have attached a hinge and easily re-purposed this box.

As for the contents, mixed results. The Peanut Brittle was great, but there was only 6 or 8 tiny one inch pieces in the box. The Jalepeno Bacon Jerky was good, but it was a dense clump of meat and the pieces were inseparable, I was forced to tear off chunks which ruined it a bit for me. Oh and the Bourbon Bacon Seasoning Grinder..wait what? Made with artificial bacon?!?!? Can't be right...yes...sadly it is. No complaints on the Mable Bacon Jerky. It was in great condition, not clumped up at all and very tasty. I haven't tried the jam but I expect it to be very good. My problem...at $65 + $15 shipping the contents should be perfect and plentiful.

I wasn't disappointed but for the money it was close to right but just off the mark. Just by making the box more reusable and I would have probably gone with 4 stars.

So I got the bacon crate as a christmas gift for my gf's dad, and it was mostly a big success. I opted for the duct tape wrapping as an option, which was a charge of a couple of dollars extra. But when they applied the shipping label to the package, they applied it directly to the duct tape wrapping, making it impossible to remove without damaging the duct tape. I'm not sure if is how they always do it, but if it is, that's stupid. You can print a shipping label that sits inside of a plastic bag, and adheres along two strips of adhesive as cheaply as you can a sticky printer label that damages the wrapping your customers are paying extra for. Anything other than how mine came would be an improvement.

TL;DR: Don't get the Duct Tape Wrapping, they ruin it with the shipping label.

I bought the Bacon Crate and a Jerky Gram for my Husband's Birthday. It does provide for a fun and unexpected "Opening" experience. However, neither I nor my husband were really impressed by the bacon flavors. The bacon salt came off as a fake-smoky bacon, and itt turns out bacon really doesn't make that great of a jerky. I know, we were slightly unbelieving of this as well.

Was honestly surprised....thought the crate would have been a bit bigger and was expecting more for that kind of money. Either way my husband really enjoyed opening the crate and seeing what was inside. so far he has only tried a little bit but he is a huge fan of bacon. he will determine it it was worth it for me.

While I love the whole idea of the crate - my husband did not enjoy the popcorn, brittle or jerky.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my step father and he disliked everything in it. The crate was easily opened from the bottom, so that wasn't challenging. He said all of the bacon and other items that came in the crate did not taste great. Overall, it feels like this was a huge waste of money and overall a disappointing gift. We have purchased other items from Man Crates and they've been great, but I don't recommend this one.

My husband received the package as a birthday gift. I had been warned that it would be difficult to open. After about 5 minutes and the crowbar bending so much it couldn't be used, my husband finally got out some real tools to open the crate. The crate itself was stained and everything in it was covered with the jelly as the jar had broken. The gift giver contacted plate crate and we received a new jelly, but the gift giver was told a replacement would be sent. Maybe just miscommunication, however I expected more after reading all the good reviews. It was not an easy mess to clean up.

Very disappointed in the quality of packaging. My dad pulled the crate out of the box and all of the contents spilled out because the top wasn’t secured on at all. No prybar necessary. Seriously reconsidering the whiskey crate as a Christmas gift due to the fragile contents.

I give it 2 stars for packaging as I have purchased several Man Crates for my husband over the last few years, they were always a big hit, this one was just a big disappointment in the contents of the crate. There wasn't very much Bacon taste as much as more smokey items. The bacon brittle was NOT good...at all, the honey Jalapeno Jerky was well received, but the maple bacon was just coated in a ton brown sugar and the imitation bacon bits (grinder good idea) again all you can taste is the smoke, no real bacon flavor. Alas, my husband was not impressed with his valentines gift. :-(

I bought this for my Grandson who eats bacon every day. He had one bite of everything because it was just too salty, or tasted stale. Gave everything to the dog, and she would not eat it either, but he did keep the crate.

I really loved the idea of these crates. I bought the bacon crate as a Christmas gift for a bacon-loving guy. Unfortunately, everything except for the bacon jam was just awful. No one in the house would eat the stuff, and it got thrown out. Definitely not worth the money.

I purchased this for my husband because I thought it was a great idea - and so did he until he started eating the contents. He said things either tasted old or just didn't have good flavor. I expected for the price for it to be excellent but he and I were both disappointed and wish I hadn't spent almost $70 for this very small crate with few contents that ended up being thrown away after he tasted them.

The bacon jeky was too sweet both th e maple brown sugar and honey jalapeños the brittle was eh, not that good sunflower seeds were ok haven't had the popcorn yet not expecting too much. I Love bacon it's the food of gods! But this is one of those things that sounds better than it is.
